April 27, 2024

Spring arrived March 20th and there is so much to do on The North Shore and we can hardly wait! Here are all the ways my family will be celebrating the 2022 spring season in our local area plus a list of upcoming events in the North Shore where your family can get outside and enjoy the warmer weather:

Spring Fun in the North Shore area all season long:

🌸 Cider Hill Farm- Amesbury

45 Fern Avenue

Amesbury, MA 01913

(978) 388-552

Our children just love it here, and we hope yours will too. they have always done their best to create an atmosphere that is fun, safe, and thought-provoking.

They've utilized the farm to teach a healthy respect and admiration for what we’ve been given to steward. So…go ahead – feed a chicken, pick some fruit, build a sandcastle….and run around with a donut! They simply adore kids of every age!

🌸 Mass Audubon Joppa Flatts Education Center

1 Plum Island Turnpike

Newburyport MA

Overlooking the Merrimack River and near the entrance to Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, the Joppa Flats Education Center offers unique educational opportunities for people of all ages. Here, you can explore the region’s wildlife-rich habitats (salt marshes, mudflats, rivers, bays, and coastal waters) through guided tours, marine touch tanks, art exhibits, drop-in programs, and interpretive displays.

🌸 Plum Island Beach

Plum Island Beach is a beautiful New England barrier island offering locals and visitors an opportunity to explore, play and relax.  A family-friendly Newburyport attraction, Plum Island Beach offers many fun and interesting things to do.  Discover amazing bird watching and the natural beauty of the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge.   Enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking or just playing and relaxing on the beach.

🌸 Playgrounds

The North Shore area has a wealth of fun and diverse playgrounds. When my son was little, we use to go to at least 2-3 different playgrounds each week. There are so many to choose from. Here are just a few of our favorites. We will continue to add to this list.

🌸 The Trustees- Crane Estate and Beyond

This winter Trustees properties are offering a variety of programs geared to get the whole family out! From snowy owl prowls, guided winter walks to Story Walks. You are sure to find something for your family.
