A is for Articles. Macaroni Kid offers timely articles each week about family-friendly activities, crafts, recipes, local resources (i.e. where kids eat free, discount museum passes, etc.), children's book recommendations and more! I list giveaways and exclusive coupons and discounts on a regular basis. Visit the homepage to see the articles. The articles are shortened in the newsletter; simply click the pink READ MORE button to view the full article.
B is for Businesses. Local sponsors make it possible for me to offer Macaroni Kid as a FREE service to you. Each local ad is approved and posted to the website by me, so I promise they are safe to click through, and they are all FANTASTIC, LOCAL businesses so you know where to go in your own community. Macaroni Kid’s Business Directory gives you the scoop on local family-friendly businesses, including location, full description, and website links. From play spaces to photographers to summer camps, Macaroni Kid will help you find what you’re looking for.
C is for Calendar. Macaroni Kid lists all the great events going on throughout the Greater Newburyport area, so you can spend your time PLAYING instead of SEARCHING! Check out the event listings for help planning your week, or visit the Event Calendar to see the entire month at a glance and view events on a specific date. I add events to the calendar as soon as I find out about them, so you'll find fun activities months in advance! And if I’m missing something, you can tell me about it using the Submit an Event button.
My Macaroni is one of my favorite features. When you click on a link to one of the events to get more information, you'll notice an "Add to My Macaroni" button at the bottom of the listing. Clicking on the plus sign will create a personalized list of events, just for your family. You can view this on the website at any time, or you can print it to hang on your fridge or carry in your purse. I go through the Calendar each Sunday after the kids go to bed and plan our week through the next weekend! For those of you who use Google calendar, click that link to add an event right to your own calendar.
Did you notice the "Search" box in the top pink bar on the homepage? Searching with this box will bring up a list of related articles from Macaroni Kid publishers all over the country, as well as local events from the Macaroni Kid Newburyport calendar.
